Willie Thomas Phillips

Phillips, Willie Thomas, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2022, at the age of 58, near his place of birth, Milwaukee, WI. Cherished husband to wife, Marlen; beloved father to son, Julian; daughters Dessiah and Christien; son-in-law, Nathaniel II; and to dogs Blu and Benji. Grandfather to Nathaniel III and Evelyn; nephew/son to Bobbie and Benny; step-son of Alan; and brother to Nina, Exie, and Tyler. Further survived by many loving relatives and dear friends who are like family. His personality cannot be condensed into a few words. He had the ability to walk into a room and uplift others with his humor and sunny disposition. He spent his life working hard to support his family and prided himself on owning his own HVAC business. He was honest, fair, and kind to his customers, always believing in treating people the right way. Food was a major part of his life, and he brought much joy to others with his cooking. Whether it was dining on simple takeout or feasting on a full course home-cooked meal, he loved it when his dining room was full of boisterous conversations and laughter. He enjoyed visiting local diners and “mom and pop” restaurants to savor some comfort food that was good for the soul. Most of all, he loved spending time with his wife, his children, and grandchildren, loving family and friends. His warm and joyful spirit will be truly missed. A Celebration of Life was held at the lake near his home in Arlington, Texas.
