Grandma Ginny Beaver
Virginia G. Greenwald (nee Kelsey)
Passed away at Prohealth Angelsgrace Hospice on October 1, 2024, at the age of 79.
Born in Waukesha, WI, Ginny was the daughter of Harold and Ruth Kelsey (nee Prebelski) and Sara “Sally” Kelsey. Ginny grew up in Waukesha and graduated from Waukesha South. She raised her family in Eagle, WI, and later moved to Milwaukee.
Ginny loved people, music, and interior design. She was a caregiver at heart, a child-focused babysitter, and an aide to seniors. She delivered Meals on Wheels in the 80s and also worked as a receptionist and medical scheduler. She enjoyed talking with people.
Paint and wallpaper projects were frequently on her mind and she loved to rearrange rooms. Her favorite pastimes were bowling, singing, dancing, sewing, rummaging, and thrifting. She could not pass up a wingback chair.
Ginny is survived by her children: Andrew Beaver, Todd (Cindy) Beaver, Jay Beaver, and Amanda (David) Walechka; seven grandchildren; and extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth; stepmother, Sally; father, Harold; daughter-in-law, Shelly; and brothers, Dick and Bill.
Per Ginny’s request a private gathering will be held. The family would like to thank the caring staff of ProHealth Care for taking exceptional care of our mother. Memorials can be made to AngelsGrace Hospice, Oconomowoc (https://www.prohealthcare.org/ways-to-give/), or HAWS-Waukesha. Ginny loved HAWS because they amazingly reunited her with her dog and also her father, Harold, with his dog at the same time on the same day in 1990.
