Ty Van Tran was born on April 22, 1936 in Saigon, Vietnam. He served in the Vietnam Police force as an escort for the US Ambassador.
At the close of the Vietnam War, Ty made the incredible journey to the United States to provide a better life for his family of 12.
He spent the next 25 years working as a manufacturing machinist at Fortress Mfg and Snap-On Tools until retirement.
His proudest life achievement was working hard to provide for his family and seeing them grow to lead happy and successful lives.
Ty was a member of Christ the Victor Lutheran Church in New Berlin that helped to relocate and establish the Tran family in New Berlin over 43 years ago.
Among his final wishes, Ty hoped to continue repaying his gratitude to the church by encouraging friends and loved ones to donate to Christ the Victor Lutheran Church in lieu of gifts or flowers.
