Timothy Buck Stephenson

August 11, 1977 — May 31, 2020

Timothy Buck Stephenson AKA Buck if you grew up with him, or Lil’ Buck if you were family. He died at our home in Menomonee Falls, WI on Sunday morning May 31, 2020. Tim was 42 years old. He had multiple health challenges that plagued him from an early age. Unfortunately his challenges compounded and took him from us too soon. In an effort to live life to the fullest, Tim spent more time taking care of others than himself. Tim was born August 11, 1977 in Smithfield, NC. He was born to a young couple in love, Timmy Lee Stephenson and Charlotte Dianne Stephenson. His younger brother was born when Tim was just seven years old. Tim became the “man of the house” in many ways at that time and played a large role in raising his little brother. Tim attended a Community college in NC and received an associate degree in computer science. After many years in various professional positions, he “retired” early and started school online for Psychology. Tim enjoyed his schooling, but found a new passion when he was miraculously healed of Crohn’s disease with essential oils. This newfound passion launched a new career as an Aromatherapist. He was very fulfilled by daily offering guidance and advice on the healing power of essential oils. Helping others really gave him joy. Tim was a very private person. There were really only a few of us that truly got to see his playful personality. He loved to make us laugh, usually at his expense. Tim moved around quite a bit as a child, mostly different cities in NC. He lived and worked in northern CA for a few years and loved the weather there, as did his psoriasis riddled skin. After moving “back home” for a few years, he moved to WI in search of cooler weather. Tim loved any gadget that made life easier. He always had just the right device, or latest technology. He loved collecting all sorts of things - basketball shoes (some he never even wore), video games, movies, game systems and anything limited edition! Hopefully that would catch him a fortune someday. You could always tell when he was feeling well because he would “game” for days on end. At one time he held a gaming title placing him in the 5% best players in the world. He was always thrilled to be asked to “beta test” a new game. Tim married Julie Janes March 7, 2015 after just one year of dating. It was an intimate wedding with only family and close friends in Janesville, WI at the Historic Lincoln Tallman House. Tim and Julie are members at Fox River Christian Church in Waukesha. Tim was very generous with tithing and gave cheerfully for Christ. Tim grew up knowing our Lord and savior, but as many do, he strayed. Tim suffered a devastating car accident that renewed his faith in God. Ever since then Tim worked hard being a good Christian. Many would agree his work paid off. Tim was the guy to ask about many things. Shopping for an appliance, computer or whatever he could always find the best quality for the best price. He loved to call himself “the wolf” because he had a remarkable skill for problem solving. Tim was very proud to be the father of Tamara Lynn Stephenson and Trace Booker Stephenson. He loved to tell stories of all the funny things the kiddos did growing up. Tamara Lynn is a beautiful young lady who just had her first baby, Miss Harper Grace. Trace loved life, he loved music and dancing, but passed away at the distressingly young age of 16. Although Tim was distanced from his children, he loved them above all and always prayed for a happy reunion. Tim is survived by his best friend and adoring wife, Julie Janes, his mother Dianne Smith, brother Brandon Stephenson, daughter Tamara and granddaughter Harper Grace, John and Kay Janes, his in-laws, who loved him like he was their own. Even more they loved how he loved Julie. Tim was preceded in death by his father Timmy and his son Trace. An open house honoring the life and heavenly passing of Tim will be at their home this Sunday. Reach out to Julie for the address and time, if you’d like to attend. This is a poem I wanted to share that Tim wrote to me before we got married. I’m sitting in my favorite place Your presence is here with me In my thoughts I see your face Your husband I long to be I need you Julie Your touch, your heart, your smile My intentions won't end in cruelty They are a chance to love you a while
