Thomas Paul Cornwell, affectionately known as "Tombo," passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 60 in Burlington, WI. He was born on January 19, 1964. Known for his rugged exterior and kind, generous nature, Thomas left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Thomas spent his career as a truck driver and later owned a pilot car service, showcasing his love for the open road. His collection of t-shirts from various truck stops across the country and his meticulously outfitted Ford trucks were testaments to his passion for travel and mechanics. An avid fan of AC/DC, Thomas often fixed things while jamming to their music. His hobbies included riding his Harley, with a memorable trip along Route 1 in California marking one of his greatest adventures. His sense of humor and contagious laughter brought joy to many, and his love for dogs made him a favorite among the canine community. Thomas was a central figure in his neighborhood, often surrounded by close friends and neighbors who became like family to him. Thomas is survived by his brothers, Timothy Cornwell and Peter Cornwell (Roxanne); sister, Corrie Peterhans (Kenny); nephews, Myles (Jennifer), Cooper, Cade; and nieces, Faith, Jolie, and Vanessa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Joan Cornwell, and sister-in-law, Terri Cornwell.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Geneva Lakes Church, 610 Harmony Drive, Lake Geneva, WI 53147. Thomas's life and legacy will be honored by all those he touched with his unique spirit and loving nature.
