Steven Dexter Kerr

Steve Kerr passed away peacefully surrounded by the loving and caring comfort of his wife and children on November 30, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Steve graduated from U.W. Madison with a degree in Electrical Engineering and achieved a Masters in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University. He was most proud of his engineering degree and his 30 years spent working for GE Healthcare before retiring.

Steve was an understated man; smart, gentle, kind, and a calming soul. In addition to his love of travel, he was an expert in anything technical and fixable and we will miss calling on our handyman.

He was also an avid curler and treasurer of the KMCC curling club; Vice President of the GE Elfuns Society of WI, and a volunteer tax advisor for AARP. One of Steve’s most cherished accomplishments was his remarkable electric guitar prowess. Music was his language and method of connecting with the world. His passion for classic rock will continue to reverberate even though he is no longer with us.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jackie Stetina; his children, Rachel Kerr (Luke Osiecki) and Aaron Kerr; his grandchildren, Ezra and Sophie Osiecki; brother, Charles Kerr (Linda) and daughter, Genevieve Kerr; and sister, Kathy Kerr. His departure leaves an unfillable void in our lives, yet we find comfort in the memories and his everlasting notes left on our hearts.
