Shirlee Lee Shaver, known lovingly to many as Shirlee, passed away on May 2, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born on April 17, 1953, and lived a life marked by love, generosity, and kindness. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives were brightened by her presence.
She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Shaver, and her children, Dan Wippert and his wife Holly, Dave Wippert and his wife Dee, and Donald Wippert. She was a proud grandmother to Olivia, Damian, Danica, McKenzie Wippert, and Samatha Krause, each of whom brought great joy to her life. She is also survived by her siblings, Dan Bergantini and his wife Mary, and Rosie Gilles and her husband Steve. She will also be missed by other relatives, many dear friends, and her four-legged furry companions, Boomer, Cinnamon, Sugar, and Bude, who were all a cherished part of her daily life.
Shirlee was a devoted and hardworking woman who spent many years as a deli clerk for Pick-n-Save food store. Through her work, she was known for her friendly manner, dependable nature, and the warm way she treated those around her.
She was deeply proud of her Italian heritage, which remained an important and meaningful part of her life. One of her greatest joys was making polenta for her family, a tradition she carried out with skill and love. These meals were more than food, as they were expressions of care, family, and the values she held close to her heart.
Shirlee also found great enjoyment in gardening. She loved tending to her garden and took special pleasure in sharing its beauty with friends and neighbors.
Though her passing brings sorrow, her life stands as a beautiful reminder of the importance of family, tradition, and simple acts of love. Shirlee Lee Shaver will be remembered not only for the roles she filled, but for the person she was. Her presence brought comfort, her smile brought joy, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
