Scott Lee Rojahn

April 21, 1960 — April 30, 2021

Scott Lee Rojahn “Scotty" age 61, died Friday evening, April 30, 2021, of Cardiac arrest at the Summit Aurora Hospital. His passing was swift, a thank you to the Delafield Paramedics and the staff of the Summit Aurora Emergency Room. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 21, 1960, the second son of the late Dolores Rojahn Wellman and Gordon Rojahn. Scott grew up on the south side of Milwaukee and attended Pulaski High School. He resided with his mother until shortly after her death in 2000. In 2005, he moved to Delafield, WI to his first and only apartment to be closer to his brother. Scotty thrived in Delafield and lived independently in spite of his disabilities and Type 1 Diabetes. He made many friends around town. He loved to ride his bike in all kinds of weather and have a cup of coffee or three at the local coffee house. Scott could often be seen sitting on the bench outside of the Daybreak wearing a hat he personally decorated and his signature plaid shirt while smoking a pipe. He was thought to be an actor or even “Andy Capp”. He also made many friends at his apartment building and greeted all residents and Delafield neighbors with a warm hello and polite demeanor. He was simply part of the village of Delafield and the village embraced him. He loved collecting antiques and interesting objects to decorate his apartment. He had a creative side and loved to make art with found objects using thread, glue, buttons and more. When Scott had problems with his bicycle, the team at the bike shop took care of him, even gifting him a new bike when he wore out his third bike in the years in Delafield. Scott loved taking boat rides with his brother on Lake Nagawicka and later in northern Wisconsin. His last day was spent doing the things he loved, visiting the coffee shop, riding his bike, calling his family and having a late day cup of coffee with his good friend, Dan. He had a simple and happy life. Scott is survived by his father, Gordon Rojahn, his brother Kurt Rojahn and his wife June, niece Claire Hierseman and dear friends Dan and Jean Collins. He was preceded in Death by his mother Dolores Rojahn Wellman and dear friend Jim Babcock. Scott was able to donate his various tissues to help the lives of those who remain. He will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held in Delafield on a future date. The Cremation Society of Waukesha is serving the family.
