Roger Charles Weaver, age 88, of Merton, Wisconsin, was born to eternal life on August 27, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Roger was born on December 27, 1937, to Faye Weaver and Crystal Erna (Suelflow) Weaver. He was preceded in death by his parents.

On August 14, 1965, Roger married the love of his life, Ruth Marlene Maas, at Mount Hope Lutheran Church in West Allis, Wisconsin. Together they raised two sons, Warren Ian Weaver and Aaron Charles Weaver. Ruth preceded Roger in death on February 9, 2015, and Aaron preceded him in death on January 20, 2025.

Roger was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his son, Warren Ian Weaver; his grandchildren: Shawn Weaver, Casey Weaver, Wesley Weaver, and Ava Weaver; and his sister, Nancy (Don) Fictum. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Roger made his home on a hobby farm in Merton beginning in 1968, where he spent nearly six decades building a life centered around family, hard work, and the outdoors. He worked for 40 years in the warehouse at Kohl's Grocery Stores before retiring.

Roger enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He took great pride in raising sheep and tending to his very large garden. He had a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Some of his fondest memories were made in the woods and on the water with his family. Fishing and hunting were more than hobbies for Roger—they were opportunities to spend time with the people he loved and create memories that will last for generations.

His grandchildren will especially remember those days spent fishing with Grandpa. One of the family’s favorite memories was watching Roger’s reaction whenever Wesley would “pot lick” Grandpa after Grandpa caught a fish. Those moments, filled with teasing, laughter, and a little bit of Grandpa’s frustration, are the types of memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Roger was also an Eagle Scout, an achievement that reflected his character, dedication, and love of the outdoors.

Roger will be remembered most for his love of family, his hardworking nature, his connection to the land, and the many memories he created with those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but the lessons he taught, the stories he shared, and the memories he created with his family will live on.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 210 East Pleasant Street, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 AM.

A luncheon will be served at the church beginning at 11:30 AM.

Burial will follow the luncheon at Highland Memorial Park, 14875 West Greenfield Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Roger will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
