Robert “Bob” Godfrey, born December 13, 1949, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his Dousman home on July 16th, 2024, after a battle with cancer.
Unquestionably the most important part of Bob’s life was his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia; his daughters: Tammy Worden, Mary (Doug) Dickson, and Katie (Mike) Beaulieu; grandsons: Andrew & Connor Worden and Josh, Matthew, & Jonathan Dickson; and granddaughters: Hannah (Eyan) Hudson & Marina Dickson, and Brooke Beaulieu. He is further survived by his brother, Bill (Loy) Godfrey; and sisters, Linda (Tom) Lupo & Connie Martinez. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Robert and Maxine Godfrey, and his son-in-law, Chris Worden.
Known for his zest for life, Bob was up for any adventure. This included riding his horse ‘Hollywood Bob’ like a true cowboy, skydiving, whitewater rafting, riding in a hot air balloon, and riding roller coasters with his grandkids. For his 70th birthday he went indoor skydiving. He loved to travel and traveled extensively throughout the US as well as to multiple locations in Europe and Mexico. Travel was always more fun with their lifelong friends, Birge & Jeri Black.
Bob liked to call every day ‘his birthday.’ He loved getting gifts from others or from himself. This was especially true of his skid steer, which he rode around at every opportunity. And he loved to tell funny stories, especially those beginning with, “I cannot tell a lie…” followed by something outrageous..... and possibly true.
He was generous with his time and talents and could be counted on to lend a helping hand to friends and strangers alike.
His grandkids want you to know he was the best grandpa ever. He will be greatly missed.
