It is with deep sadness that we announce Richard (Dick) Kubina, 82, passed away in the comfort of his home on December 30, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Leona Kubina, and his brother, Edward (Jo) Kubina, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Melody; brother, Tony Kubina; son, Nickolas (Jamie) Kubina; nephews, nieces, family and friends.
He was a loving husband to Melody for over 40 years. They spent many hours at flea markets and antique stores. From an early age he worked at his dad’s blacksmith shop in Cambridge, Wisconsin, and began to hone his skills. You could always find Richard building or repairing something. This continued as he worked as a mechanic, and built and sold many homes. Richard’s love of cars grew into racing and later learning how to setup chassis. He went on to race modified sprint cars in the early 70’s, winning many championships in the SouthEast Wisconsin and Northern Illinois circuits. He was an avid sports fan and very much loved the Green Bay Packers.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pro Healthcare hospice for the aid and comfort they provided at the time it was needed the most. A Celebration of Life for Richard will be scheduled at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
