Peter Roschtscha, 74, of Oconomowoc, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. He was born on May 27, 1950, in Austria to parents Nikulaus and Anna Roschtscha (née Kurch) of Ukraine. Peter immigrated to the United States as an infant and later graduated from West Division High School in Milwaukee. In 1979, he married Deborah Anschutz of Milwaukee, with whom he shared four children. He retired after 30 years at Briggs & Stratton in 1998.
Peter, known by some as Pete Lincoln, was a passionate drummer who played with many bands throughout the Milwaukee area. He was also an enthusiastic collector, with a special fondness for classic cars, suits, ties, hats, and Hawaiian shirts. An avid bicyclist, he enjoyed riding almost every day.
Peter is survived by three children; Nick Roscha, Peter Roscha, and Christa (Dan) Mihalek; his grandchildren: Teddy Mihalek, Abby Mihalek, and Sienna Roscha; his brothers, Victor (June) Roschtscha and Nick (the late Gloria) Roschtscha; his niece, Toni (Kurt) Smith; his nephew, Brad Roschtscha; and his sister-in-law, Audrey (Jerry) Gurka. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Debbie Roschtscha; his beloved daughter, Alana Roscha; his nephew, Ryan Roschtscha; and his brother-in-law, Jeff Sobczak.
A Mass in Peter's honor will be held at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1025 S 11th St, Milwaukee at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21. Guests may arrive at 10:30 a.m. to greet the family. Following the service, he and his wife, Debbie, will be laid to rest together at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
