Paul Lawrence Abegglen

January 17, 1967 — March 28, 2022

Abegglen, Paul L. of Waukesha, WI was welcomed home into the arms of Jesus on March 28th, 2022. Paul is survived by his best friend and loving Wife of 22 years, Jolene (nee Block), his cherished Sons Alexander, Joshua, Jacob, Jared, and Jackson and his treasured Daughter Kimberly Lynn. His loving parents Allan & Sharon Abegglen and adoring in-laws Roger & Lynette Block, his Brothers Kurt (Maria) Abegglen and Peter (Kendall) Abegglen and Brother-in-Law Jeffery (the late Jennifer) Block. Paul is further survived by Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends, & co-workers. Paul was a Retired Veteran of the United States Army where he served faithfully for 22 years. He considered himself blessed he was able to travel the world and live in many areas of the world while serving. Paul met the love of his life and best friend in Nursing school in 1998. Paul and Jolene started dating in 1999 and were married in March of 2000. Paul was a strong family man who loved to spend time with his children. He loved history, sports, Star Wars, working in his backyard, grilling, and especially camping. Paul was a long time member of a Men’s Group at Fox River Christian Church and enjoyed serving in various roles there such as group leader, café worker, kitchen help and usher. Paul had a true Servants Heart and loved to teach. Leadership was in his blood and he loved to mentor young/new leaders whether at his job, in the military, or in church. Paul’s Celebration of Life will be held: Saturday, April 23rd Visitation: 10AM-Noon Service: Noon Fox River Christian Church S46 W24130 Lawnsdale Rd Waukesha WI 53186 In Paul's honor we request everyone wear Packers, Badgers or Notre Dame attire. In lieu of flowers, donations to his family are much appreciated. Paul's family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Peter Johnson and Dr. Erika Swanson and all the staff at Columbia St. Mary’s Cancer Center for their wonderful and compassionate care for Paul. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your path straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
