Paul “TRAIN” Hernandez of Waukesha, born on January 20, 1950, crossed over into God’s eternal light on July 24, 2019, at the age of 69, at the Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Paul is survived by his faithful wife, Diane (Deaubl) Hernandez; son Neal Hernandez; daughter Amanda Hughes; grandchildren Tobias Hill-Hernandez, Anna Hill-Hernandez and his Rent-a-son Matt Howe (Nicki). Sister Mary Martinez, brother Ray Martinez; sister-in-law Nancy Hernandez. He is also survived my many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sacarias and Jean (Vasquez) Hernandez, brothers Robert, Peter and sister Gloria.
Paul had a love for motorcycles and was proud when he was able to get his first and only HARLEY. He so enjoyed the freedom of the ride for many years.
Paul worked at Waukesha Foundry for 32 years and also worked as a bouncer around the Waukesha/Milwaukee area. He then was given the opportunity to become a body guard for various performers that came into town; such names as Chubby Checker, Wolfman Jack, Steppenwolf and so many, many others.
Paul was a devoted father but not only to his son. He had opened his heart to other kids along the way that would call him “Rent-A-Dad”. His support, guidance and love were felt through these kids.
Throughout his life, he always stuck up for the underdog. He was humble, yet he did not put up with anyone being bullied.
Paul was a kind, gentle, loving man and has definitely made his mark on this earth and has affected all who knew him. He will be remembered and loved by all.
A special Thank You to his nieces Henrietta and Elenore for helping through such a difficult time and for everyone that has supported us, sent thoughts, prayers, and words of encouragement. We humbly say THANK YOU!!
As Momma Jean said,” Mijo, God gave you strength to protect the weak.”
Well Done, Faithful Servant, Well Done!
