Miriam Shanti Normile

...may her memory be a blessing... Miriam Shanti Normile of Waukesha Wisconsin died on 10-25-2020. She was 74. She was born Miriam Elizabeth Goulde in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated Mercy High School , Milwaukee, in 1964, She attended the College of Great Falls MT, 1964-1966. In her younger years, she bravely worked one summer at Granite Chalet in Glacier National Park, MT. Stories of grizzly bear near misses filled that summer. She later backpacked and hosteled throughout northern Europe for several months. Miriam is remembered for her lifelong love of her pets. Her sweetness and compassion. She sponsored the SPCA and wildlife organizations throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her sister Kathy Horton, her parents Dorothy and Harry Goulde, the beloved Normile great-aunts from Fond du Lac, WI She is survived by 6 siblings, cousins in the US and Canada, and lifelong friends. She cherished her many nieces-nephews, and grand-nephew-nieces. Cremation events will be private
