Michael “Mike” McCarron Kellogg, 56, of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at Angel’s Grace Hospice Care, surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones who remained by his side during his final weeks.
Born in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Mike lived a life full of laughter, friendship, and a love for the people and things that brought him joy. He was, without a doubt, the life of the party. Mike had a gift for making people laugh, and his sense of humor, big personality, and ability to make everyone around him feel welcome will be deeply missed.
Mike had a lifelong passion for baseball, both playing and watching the game. He played at Brookfield East High School, UW-Whitewater, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
In 2008, Mike opened the Milwaukee Brat House in Milwaukee with his good friend Jack, combining two things he loved dearly: great food and good times. Although he eventually sold the business, his love for beer, brats, and gathering people together never faded.
Mike had an especially strong connection to Florida. Sarasota held a special place in his heart, where his mother lived and where the family made treasured memories during their annual vacations at the timeshare. He also spent several years living in St. Pete Beach, enjoying the sunshine, beaches, and laid-back Florida life he loved so much.
Above all, Mike cherished his family and friends. He formed lifelong friendships and had a way of turning ordinary moments into memories people would carry with them for years. His laughter, stories, humor, and unmistakable presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mike is survived by his son, Logan Kellogg; grandson, Mason Kellogg; daughter, Mackenzie Jordan; mother, Annette Leinberger; sister, Michelle Becker (John); and nephew, Philip Becker.
Mike leaves behind a lifetime of memories, countless stories, and many people who were lucky enough to love him. He will be remembered for his laughter, his larger-than-life personality, his love of baseball, beer, cooking, Florida, and most of all, the people who made his life special.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bullwinkles in Brookfield, Wisconsin, located at 18900 W Bluemound Rd Ste 100, Brookfield, WI 53045. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Mike, share stories, raise a glass, and remember a man who knew how to make life a party.
