Obituary

Michael Joseph Malinowski, 69, of New Berlin, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, after battling Leukemia for several years.

Born November 22, 1956, to John Boleslaw and Olga (Stoyko) Malinowski, Michael grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended Boys Tech in Milwaukee and completed a machinist apprenticeship, going on to work as a journeyman machinist until his retirement in 2019.

Michael met his future wife, Anne Marie, through her brother Jeff, one of Michael's close friends in high school. They married on June 21, 1980, and shared 46 years of marriage, raising two sons, Mark and Matthew, in Muskego, WI.

Michael was a dedicated member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. His interest in the Bible began to grow in the early 1990s through his friendship with Scott Davis, who studied the Bible with him. Over the years, he attended the Mukwonago, Muskego, and most recently, the Minooka Park congregation alongside his wife.

An avid outdoorsman, Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing, pursuits he shared with his sons from an early age. He taught them the importance of respecting the land, following the law, and never being wasteful. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with Scott Davis and also Scott Kirby, with whom he shared countless outings, including fishing trips to Canada and the Great Lakes.

Michael was also a dedicated runner. For much of his working life, he ran five miles every day. His sons remember him coming home from work and announcing, "I'm going for a run," before heading out.

A man of few words, Michael possessed a remarkably patient and gentle nature. His wife and sons cannot recall a time when he lost his temper or treated them unkindly. Michael was a kind and generous man whose actions spoke louder than his words.

Michael cherished his role as grandfather to Martin. As his cancer progressed, visits with Martin, along with the pictures and videos shared by his family, brought him tremendous joy. Among their shared experiences were family outings on the boat at Long Lake in Waupaca, Wisconsin.

Michael is survived by his wife, Anne Marie Malinowski; his sons, Mark (Natalie) Malinowski and Matthew (Jessica) Malinowski; his grandson, Martin Malinowski; and his siblings, Lawrence (Debra) Malinowski, Marion Malinowski, and Carolyn (Steve) Senger, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Olga Malinowski.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Central Time at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at W230S3250 Milky Way Rd., Waukesha, WI 53189. A memorial talk to remember Michael will follow at 2:00 p.m.
