Michael Paul Lewin, 75, of Germantown, WI, passed away on February 22, 2025, at Froedtert Hospital in Menomonee Falls, WI. Born on May 1, 1949, in Milwaukee, WI, to Marvin and Margaret (Walsh) Lewin, "Mike" was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He served honorably as a radar technician in Berlin, Germany, from 1971 to 1975. Upon returning to the U.S. and starting a family, Mike pursued a career as a professional machinist and later sang with the "Bel Canto Chorus." All while engaging with his lifelong passion for tinkering and fixing things. Later in life, he became a dedicated father of parrots and parakeets and enjoyed exploring the mysteries of the world, including the Skinwalker Ranch series.

Mike is survived by his devoted fiancée and partner, Maureen Ward of Buffalo, NY; his son, Matthew (Christy) Lewin of Appleton; his daughter, Amanda (Andrew) Lange of Madison; his sister, Nancy Lewin of Cedar Grove; his brother, Doug (Laurie) Lewin of Cleveland, WI; his sisters-in-law, Debra Lewin of Oostburg and Joyce Lewin of Milwaukee; and his cousin, Colleen Mateske of Glendale. He is further survived by five grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his cherished parrots: Alex, Daisy, and Phoebe.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin (1982) and Margaret (2015); his brothers, Steven (2013) and Jeff (2021); his cousin, Dennis Mateske (2014) and Dennis’ wife, Robin (2018); and ex-wife, Sara Lewin (2017). He is also preceded in death by many beloved pets.

A celebration of Mike’s life, including military honors and dinner, will be held on Friday, February 28, from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the American Legion Post No. 1, N120W15932 Freistadt Rd, Germantown, WI 53022. The family looks forward to hearing special stories about Mike during the event.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the family to assist with final expenses and to support organizations that were dear to Mike's heart.
