Michael James Snowden

May 17, 1945 — April 9, 2024

Michael James Snowden, affectionately known as "Pops," passed away April 9, 2024, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, at the age of 78. He was born on May 17, 1945, in Madison, Wisconsin.

Mike was a beloved husband to Jan Snowden, a cherished father to Angela Murray (Brandt Murray), Beau Snowden, and Craig Snowden (Anna Snowden), and a proud grandfather to Joscelyn, Karleen, and Linkin. He is also survived by his brother, Patrick Doran; nephew, Michael Snowden; and many loved relatives and friends.

Mike was an outgoing and cheerful individual who approached life with optimism and a warm heart. His enthusiasm for the Wisconsin Badgers football team, fishing, firearms, playing one of his 14 guitars, and spending time with loved ones was infectious. His dedication to his family was unwavering, and the residents at Pebble Place Apartments admired his kindness and upbeat nature.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry Snowden and Richard Doran; his mother, Audrey McNurlen (Hal McNurlen); his father-in-law, Hilmer Gust; and his mother-in-law, Lorna Gust.

In honoring Mike's wishes, no traditional memorial service will be held. Instead, his immediate family will celebrate his life on a pontoon boat in Wisconsin Dells.

Mike will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
