Maureen R Ryker

On February 8, 2023, Maureen Ruth Ryker passed away in Oconomowoc, WI, of natural causes in the early morning hours. Maureen, affectionately known as Mickey, had just celebrated her 90th birthday with her family and friends.

Mickey is survived by 5 of her 7 children; Mary Beth Berns, Jen Thorne, Cindy Davis, Ruth Eddingsaas, and Carol Rudolph. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ryker; daughter, Kathryn Gurlinger; son, Garth Ryker; and sister, Beverly Kabrick.

Mickey was born on January 30, 1933, in Chicago, IL. Mickey graduated from St. Mary of the Woods College in 1955 with a teaching degree in elementary education. Mickey married, Fred, in 1956. Mickey loved to serve. She served her family, her students, and her community.

At Mickey’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, she asked to make a donation to the ALS society in lieu of sending flowers:
