The family of MaryAnn Buckley is deeply saddened to announce her passing at the age of 64 on June 13, 2026, while surrounded by her immediate family.

She was born on October 19, 1961, to Max and Patricia Strauss. After graduating from Brookfield East High School, MaryAnn devoted her life to caring for family and countless children. She is still beloved by the children she cared for, 30+ years later, and continued to show up for those families until the end of her life. MaryAnn enjoyed taking long walks in nature, playing with her dog, boating, quality time with her family, and celebrating holidays. She embraced the cold, gray days and brought light with her laughter.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, David; son, Tony (Talia); daughter, DaMara; siblings, Bob Strauss (Connie), Karen Scholts (John), Linda Karlsrud (Dave), and Deborah Gurich; brothers- and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and her grandson, Zane. She will be remembered for her humor and warmth, leaving a legacy of love and compassion for those who were fortunate enough to spend time with her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 18, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Tuscan Hall Banquet Center, 409 Delafield St., Waukesha, WI 53188. Those who feel called to are invited to come share stories and honor MaryAnn. Lunch and drinks will be provided.
