Maria Luisa (Mary Lou) Vasquez, 81. Born to Eternal Life Friday January 8, 2021. Beloved mother of Eric (Monica) and Amy Hill. Loving grandmother to Lillian Hanson. She was born October 10, 1939 in Realitos, Texas to Hortencia and Luis Jesus Vasquez Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Luis Vasquez, Jr. Marcos Vasquez, Roberto Vasquez Sr., and sisters Paula Victoria Saenz, Dora Diana (Annie) Vasquez, and Nilda Hernandez along with Eric and Amy’s father Jermaine (Jerry) Hill. She is survived by her brother, Adan Vasquez, and sisters, Eva (Feliciano) Cavazos, Dr. Nora (Rene) Casarez, Hortencia (ChaCha) (David) Benavides, her close cousin Anna Fernandez Ramirez, her best friend, Yolanda Garcia, and her cherished sister-in-law’s Arlene Hill, Barb Plomedahl, Graciela Vasquez and Ernestina Vasquez as well as many cousins, dear nieces and nephews. Mary Lou was often described as a gracious and kind lady. She was an exceptional chef. If you were lucky enough to enjoy her delicious cooking, you know it was made with love.
