Mary Lucy Visauer

Mary Lu Visauer (nee Cronick), Born to eternal life on March 28th, 2020 at the age of 68. Mary Lu is survived by her life partner and best friend of 28 years, Jeffrey Langworthy; loving daughters Erin (Jeff) DeBoth, and Kaylin Visauer (Justin Roegner), step-daughters Kira (Mark) Bublitz and Sara (Benjamin) Gedde; brothers Frank (Susan) and Joseph (Susan) Cronick and sister Sandra Theiler. She is further survived by her beloved grandchildren Audrey, Sophia, and Andreas and step-grandchildren Wyatt, Adalai, and Taya. She was preceded in death by her husband; Kenneth Visauer, mother; Frances Cronick (nee Kluss), father; John Cronick, and brothers John Paul Conick and Dennis Cronick. Mary Lu is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Mary Lu spent most of her childhood years in Tomahawk, WI where she enjoyed outdoor activities with her brother Joe and many childhood friends. After attending Mount Mary University, she worked as an occupational therapist for over 30 years. She recently retired from Waukesha County Mental Health Center where she was known for being a dedicated employee as well as a respected leader. Mary Lu was a dedicated mother who cared deeply for her family. She would often put others' needs before her own and faced challenges in her life with a positive attitude and strong spirit. She was an avid reader and crafter who also enjoyed camping, kayaking and just being outdoors. She enjoyed spending time with family and she particularly enjoyed activities with her grandchildren. A Celebration of Life for Mary Lu will be held at the Mapleton Community Center, N87 W35493 Mapleton Road, Oconomowoc, WI 53066. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 3:00pm with a service at 1:30 on Sunday, August 1st, 2021. Lunch will be available and the event will be casual. Before her death, Mary Lu requested bright colors such as teal be worn. Mary Lu’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Aurora Vince Lombardi Cancer Center and Aurora Home Hospice for their dedicated and compassionate care.
