Mary Elizabeth Caddell

February 5, 1952 — January 28, 2020

Mary Elizabeth “Marybeth” Caddell, age 67, passed away peacefully January 28, 2020, after an extended battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born February 5, 1952, in Wisconsin to Victor and Luella Musche.   She was married to Richard “Rick” Caddell Jr on August 25, 1985, surrounded by loving family and friends.   A genuine, caring and giving person, Marybeth was smart, funny, and an avid reader. She loved spending time with her husband catfishing on the Tennessee River and loved to take visitors fishing, enjoying the rivers natural beauty. She always had a humorous story to share or a good book to suggest. She was friendly to everyone she met, a great listener, and had sage advice for her kids (when they listened). She said to always have dessert, even if you didn’t finish dinner, because you never know what life will bring. Marybeth was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dayton, Tennessee. She was involved in bible study and a member of the Sunday school class. She was strong in her faith, enjoying the fellowship of the church.   Marybeth earned a Bachelor of Liberal Studies from Purdue University in 1991. For many years Marybeth worked at Weil-McLain, in Michigan City, Indiana as a customer service associate. Later in life, she earned an Associate of Science in Radiography and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences in 2006. This career suited her outgoing and caring attitude, inquisitive nature, and love of learning.   Marybeth is survived by her loving husband, Rick; daughters Jennifer (Greg) Holt and Lisa (Bob) Hale; grandchildren Ashley (Nick) Romano, Alex Holt, Sydney Hale and Susan Hale; greatgrandchild Tabby; brother Jeff (Kay) Musche; brothers-in-law Tom Caddell and Tim (Cassie) Caddell; and many treasured nieces and nephews. Marybeth was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Luella Musche and beloved daughter Julie Scholl.   Please join us celebrating her life Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 12 Noon at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2881 Division Road, Jackson, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ferst Readers national children’s literacy program at ferstreaders.org.
