Marlene J. Grimm

Marlene Joy Grimm (nee Shalton) was gathered into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 18, 2026, at the age of 94.

Marlene was born in Milwaukee on May 19, 1932, to John and Evelyn Shalton.

Marlene led a full life filled with travel, volunteering at the Milwaukee P.A.C., and serving as “Grandma Grimm” to hundreds of new readers at Robinwood Elementary School in Franklin. Marlene was employed during tax seasons for over 25 years as a tax preparer for H&R Block. She was proud to assist in helping to change a Wisconsin tax code that benefits many Wisconsinites.

Marlene was very involved in the raising of her two grandsons, dispensing her wisdom and loving care as they matured. The many days spent at the “Up Nort” Shawano Lake home are treasured memories.

Marlene was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband of 50 years, Ted, and her two sons, Todd and Ted Jr.

Marlene’s memory will be forever cherished by her two daughters, Linda (Michael) Grimm-Sturm and Carrie (Matthew) Grunwald, and her two grandsons, Mitchell (Kyra) Grunwald and Aaron (Paola) Grunwald.

Marlene was privileged to become a great-grandmother to both Ellie-Mae Grunwald and Leah Grunwald.

Memorials to Wisconsin Badger Camp for adults with disabilities are appreciated.

Per Marlene’s pre-arrangements, no formal services were held.

A private family interment will be held at a future date, with a luncheon to be held at Marlene’s favorite pizza place, Balistreries on Bluemound.
