Mark Orrin
Brown
September 28, 1950 – April 19, 2026
Mark Orrin Brown age 75 died April 19, 2026, at Froedtert & MCW in West Bend from complications of dementia. He was born on September 28, 1950, in Milton, WI, the son of Vilas and Edwin (Hake) Brown.
He graduated from Milton High School and then spent 2 years at Madison Area Technical College earning a degree in electronics. His extensive knowledge about computers was self-taught. Later, he married Rita (Gest) Brown in Milton and lived in West Bend. They celebrated 38 years of marriage in September.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Rita, are his son, Chad Brown; his daughter, Erin (Brown) Bates (Nick); his 3 grandchildren: Addison, Lincoln, and Connor; and his sister, Marcia Snyder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vilas and Edwin, and his sister, Carol Studebaker.
Computers were his work and hobby. He worked for TMP Worldwide for 15 years as manager of their data center in WI. After retirement he continued his passion by helping others with their computer issues. He enjoyed traveling in his RV, spending 3-6 months out of the year in Gulf Shores, Alabama, but his highlight was the trip to Alaska where he loved the scenery and enjoyed visiting the local restaurants. He kept a diary of the trip, writing in it every day. He loved his cats, 11 of them over the years, and he would tell stories to anyone who stopped by.
We would like to thank the staff at Froedtert Hospital for their care and compassion in Mark’s final days. The care and dignity Mark received was wonderful. Thank you all.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
