Obituary

Marilyn M. Rose was born on April 26,1951, in Antigo, Wisconsin. She passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. She fought the battle with courage and optimism.

Marilyn was born to Winfred and Mary Rose, who preceded her in death, along with her longtime partner of over 30 years, Ken Rappette. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Don Rose; nephew, Don Rose, Jr.; and niece, Lisa Hoffmann.

She is survived by her sisters, Carol Stevenson of Waukesha, Peggy Black of Waukesha, Shirley (Dan) Bradish of Waukesha, and Jean (John) Mignone of Pewaukee; her two brothers, Bob (Rita) Rose of Cherry Valley, Illinois, and Terry (Kathy) Rose of Muskego; along with numerous nieces and nephews and her puppy dog, Monty.

Marilyn was a 1969 graduate of Antigo High School. Before relocating to Waukesha, she was employed with Harley-Davidson for many years before taking a position as a travel agent with Apple Vacations. She loved to travel. She also enjoyed gardening and had a beautiful flower garden and deck area filled with flowers, where she loved to entertain.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family would like to give a special thank-you to the ProHealth Hospice team and all caregivers.
