Lucille J Gross

Lucille J. Gross, age 98, went home to join our Lord on Saturday, April 29, 2023. She was the daughter of Edward and Marie Hacker.

 

She attended Menomonee Falls High School and graduated with Honors from Milwaukee State Teacher College. Lou taught Math and English before transitioning to a career at Wisconsin Gasket and Manufacturing. 

 

She married the love of her life, Don Gross, and for 65 years they had fun playing cards, bowling, watching sports, golfing, and traveling. Lou was the bookkeeper for her husband's company, Fence Erector's, Inc. They retired to Sun City, AZ, and enjoyed the sunshine, casinos, golf, and many friends. Lou moved back to Wisconsin for her final years and spent time watching Wheel of Fortune, playing WII bowling, Sheepshead and Rummikub, among other activities. She was a devout Catholic.

 

Lou is survived by her daughters, Jan Gross (Dan) and Judy Karcher (John); grandchildren: Kelly (Lance), Matt (Megan), and Brian (Elizabeth); and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, and her siblings - Dorothy, Lorraine, Donald, Edward, and Mary.  

 

Mom, you taught us to be strong, generous, fair, and kind; to love unconditionally, work hard, be positive, and have faith. You will be greatly missed.  

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on:
