Lorraine Mary Premetz (née Bartlein), age 93, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, in Lannon, Wisconsin. Born on November 30, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lorraine lived a long and vibrant life marked by creativity, determination, and deep devotion to her family and passions. Lorraine built a successful career as a real estate broker, managing several offices throughout her professional life. Her strong work ethic and leadership left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. She approached her work with the same energy and drive that she brought to every aspect of her life.
A woman of many talents and interests, Lorraine was known for her artistic flair and boundless creativity. She found joy in painting, sewing, cooking, gardening, and solving sudoku puzzles. Her fascination with new construction reflected her appreciation for design and innovation interests she often shared with those close to her. Among the many cherished relationships in Lorraine's life was the special bond she shared with her granddaughter, Traci. Together they explored their mutual love of art and creativity; at the time of Lorraine's passing, they were planning a portrait project that spoke to their shared vision and connection.
Lorraine is lovingly remembered by her children: Gail Gondek, Gregory (Sue) Premetz, David Premetz, Elizabeth Lynch, and Daniel Premetz; grandchildren: Traci Gondek (Keith Jackson), Melissa Schuh, Megan (Adam) Speigle, Kim Premetz, and Adam (Ashley) Lynch; great-grandchildren: Jackson Speigle, Levi, Elijah, and Asher Lynch; sister, Joanne Jacoby; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Heil.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Helen Bartlein; daughter, Amelia; sisters: and Dolores, Florence, and Helen; and son-in-law, Robert.
Lorraine's legacy lives on through the lives she touched with her warmth, strength, and creative spirit. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
