Kevin gong passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2025. Kevin was born in Milwaukee to the late Gerald Gong and Patricia Lichtfeldt (née Pietrzak) on February 13, 1973.
Kevin graduated from Waukesha North High School in 1991 and attended Greenfield High school as well. Kevin was an avid wrestler and loved the sport so much that he continued to coach at different schools around the area. After he graduated from high school he joined the military and was stationed in Germany as a maintenance mechanic. After his active duty, Kevin was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard for many years. He cherished his time of service and was a proud veteran.
Kevin also had a love for his animals and we all know he’s reunited with them again. He was a jack of all trades and tinkered with everything. In true Kevin fashion he was helpful in a pinch.
Kevin has been part of the Great Lakes Water cross for many years. He spent years racing and more recently was a course marshal. The water was his passion. He was free and himself when he was on the water. It also opened him up to his racing family that he held dear. Many friendships were made and much knowledge passed on to the younger generation.
To say Kevin will be missed is an understatement. He’s survived by his sisters, Kimberly (James) Taylor, Pamela (James) Whalen, and Lori. He is also survived by his nieces, Isabella and Samara Taylor, and nephew, Carter Gong. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald, and nephew, Zachary Stephen.
