Obituary

Kenneth Paul Hein of Milwaukee passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Heritage Lake Country Senior Living, at the age of 89. Born on January 27, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ken was the beloved son of Esther Hein.

Ken met and married Carol, a marriage that lasted 33 years. Not having children of his own, he lovingly embraced her family and became a devoted father to her children. He was always a positive role model, teaching his sons the valuable lessons only a father can impart. Ken cherished his grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially working in the garden alongside his wife. One of his greatest joys was cruising around Milwaukee in his 1966 Thunderbird convertible with the top down. Every summer, Ken and Carol hosted a backyard anniversary celebration, welcoming family, friends, and neighbors. Their yard was always beautifully landscaped and filled with vibrant flowers, a reflection of Ken’s care and pride.

Ken was also an animal lover. Over the years, he shared his life with two sheepdogs and four cats.

Ken will be deeply missed by his children, Ian (Becky) Mlodzik; daughter-in-law, Christine Mlodzik; and grandchildren, Jack and Max. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol, his son, Eric Mlodzik, and his parents.

Honoring Ken’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held with family at a later date.
