Karen A. Zane

Karen A. Zane (née Ciborowski), aged 76, of Waukesha, WI, gracefully departed this world on July 13, 2026, cradled by the love of her family. Her courageous nine-month journey with Glioblastoma was marked by unwavering strength and dignity. Born on June 20, 1950, she now joins her beloved parents Frank and Dorothy, her sister Patricia, and brother-in-law Richard in eternal peace.

Karen's enduring legacy is carried forward by Joseph, her devoted husband of nearly 57 years, and her cherished children Scott (Cindy) and Janet (Kyle). Her spirit lives on in her treasured grandchildren, Ashley, Trevor, Nathan, and Tyler. She leaves behind a circle of love that includes her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends.

In September 1969, Karen and Joe embarked on a journey of love and partnership, traversing life’s many seasons together. Her career with Delco Electronics/Delphi in Oak Creek spanned 20 years, a testament to her dedication and work ethic. After nearly a decade in Sarasota, Florida, the couple returned to Wisconsin, embracing their role as caretakers for their parents. In retirement, Karen found joy in winter travels to warmer climes and thrived as an enthusiastic fan of Sprint car and midget racing, alongside her passion for hockey, the Packers, and the Brewers.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 7th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, N88 W17658 Christman Rd, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051.
