Judith Ann Holat

Judith Ann Holat (Onstad) 1939-2024 loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, joined her parents and her siblings with our Lord in heaven on July 14, 2024. 

Judy was born on January 26, 1939, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, but grew up in Milwaukee where she met her husband, Dale, of 66 years and they raised their four children: Mark (Julie) Scott (Sandi) Jeff and Carri in New Berlin. Judy is also survived by nine grandchildren: Christopher, CJ, Jackie, Kim, Travis, Alex, Josh, Katie, and Everett; and eight great grandchildren, Kaleb, Ryker, Mackenzi, Otis, Malachi, Rella, Jordan, and Emilia. 

Judy was always busy doing something but her greatest joy was the time she spent with children. She was active volunteering in scouting, little league, and snowmobile club. She also worked for thirty-four years in the New Berlin school system and retired in 2001 as the head cook. 

After retiring, Judy and Dale were snowbirds spending their winters at Tara Woods retirement community in N. Fort Myers, Florida, where she had many friends and kept busy playing tennis, making beautiful art work with the ceramic club and quilting, crocheting, and sewing clubs. She served on many committees in the community organizing the Lee Hospital blood drive and planning many Tara Woods parties over the twenty-two years she wintered there.

Visitation for Judy will be held on Saturday, August 17th at Vernon Lutheran Church at 10:00 am, with a celebrant service at 11. Lunch will follow.
