With profound sadness, I announce the passing of my dear sister, Joy Ann Wilson, on May 20th, 2025. Born on August 27th, 1950, Joy was a shining light in our family and to her countless friends and co-workers. We grew up, side-by-side, facing life's challenges and joys together. Her talent for making social gatherings fun and her dedication to friends, family and her beloved niece and nephews were truly inspiring. Joy was a dear friend for all who knew her and enjoyed playing games, cards, and socializing with family and friends. She is survived by her youngest brother, Scott C. Wilson, and her oldest brother, William R. Wilson; her spirit will live on in our hearts forever. A celebration of her life will take place at Bullwinkle’s at the Galleria, 18900 W Bluemound Rd Suite 100, Brookfield, WI 53045 on Saturday, August 9th, 2025 from 1-4 pm. Donations in her memory can be made in her name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help end breast cancer or the American Heart Association.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Janet A. Wilson and John C. Wilson. She was a loving and caring Aunt to her niece, Courtney Wilson, and her two nephews, Dan and Ted Wilson. Joy’s family and friends would like to extend our sincere thanks and grateful appreciation to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital ER and ICU doctors, nurses, clergy, and palliative care professionals for the care they provided Joy in her final days. We want to particularly thank Meghan and Steff of the ICU for the compassionate care and gracious counsel they afforded family and friends as we said goodbye to our beloved Joy.
