She was born June 27, 1938, in Wauwatosa, the daughter of Nora (Antonson) and George Saldana. Josephine (Pat) graduated from South Milwaukee High School in 1956. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Emer (Bob), in 1957, and they were married for 64 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Emer; her daughter, Patricia Emer; her son, Mathew Emer; her parents, Nora and George Saldana; and her siblings: Lila Ball, Ann Stremski, Joan Clark, and Larry Saldana. She was known for being an exceptional cook and baker, and she enjoyed sharing her talent and treats with friends and family. She loved arts and crafts and excelled at sewing. She was a source of love to all who knew her. She found joy in volunteering and helping others. She was an active member of the community, working on class reunions, baking for friends and neighbors, sewing at the senior center, and helping at her church, South Milwaukee United Methodist Church.
Our family would like to extend a special thanks to all those who gave love and support to our mother and family, and to the Heritage and Hospice staff for their compassionate care.
A Celebration of Life will be held for her at Pulaski Inn in Cudahy, Wisconsin, on Friday, 06/05/2026, from 1-4.
