Jeffery John Knapstein

October 18, 1944 — October 19, 2025

Jeffery “Jeff” J. Knapstein passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, just one day after celebrating his 81st birthday. Born on October 18, 1944, in Colon, Panama, Jeff was the beloved son of Robert and Berle (Jeffers) Knapstein.

Jeff was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 49 years, Elizabeth Knapstein, and their cherished son, Christopher. He is survived by his devoted niece and nephew, Shelly (Steve, Jake, & Cole) Zinda, and Kevin (Susan Keel) Smith, who will miss him dearly.

Jeff built a successful career as a salesperson for A.M. Castle Metals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where his integrity and humor left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. After residing in Sun Prairie, WI, for more than two decades, Jeff retired and enjoyed 25 wonderful years in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

An avid sportsman, Jeff excelled on the golf course as a member of Cherokee Country Club and Bella Vista Country Club, having many hole-in-ones. He was passionate about baseball, racquetball, downhill skiing, and fishing—always eager to try his luck and share a story or two. Jeff’s warmth and wit made everyone feel at ease, and his jokes brought smiles to those around him. He was relentless in expressing his gratitude for all his caregivers in his final months.

Jeff will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of life, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A private celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at a later date.
