Jayne Lois Saybolt, 83, of Germantown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2026, surrounded by her children.

Jayne was born on April 11, 1943, in Camden, New Jersey, to Edward and Grace Reinmiller. As the oldest of three children, she grew up alongside her twin brothers, Robert and Richard, and spent most of her childhood in Pennsylvania.

While attending Upper Moreland High School, she met the love of her life, William "Bill" Saybolt. They reconnected while in college and their marriage began on June 20, 1964, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, friendship, and unwavering devotion to one another until Bill’s passing in 2021. Bill's career eventually brought them to Wisconsin, where they raised their three children and created a home that became a gathering place for family and friends.

More than anything, Jayne loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she took immense pride in being part of every milestone, celebration, and everyday moments. She always seemed to have exactly what someone needed tucked away in one of her bags or backpacks, whether it was a snack, a bandage, scissors, a forgotten item, or simply a reassuring presence. Knowing Mom was there made everything feel a little easier. Jayne gave generously of herself, volunteering as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader, serving in the PTA, organizing Job’s Daughters events, and welcoming countless friends and neighbors into her life. She loved bringing people together. Whether hosting a holiday, planning a gathering, or simply opening her home for a visit, she made everyone feel special and cared for.

Her creativity was woven throughout her life. She found joy in making beautiful things for the people she loved, from quilts stitched from treasured shirts, ties, and jerseys to knitted blankets, photo albums and scrapbooks, and countless handmade keepsakes. Every project carried a piece of her heart. In later years, hot glue became her favorite crafting tool, and in many ways, that feels fitting. Jayne was the glue that held her family together, offering love, encouragement, and support through every season of life.

While we will miss her deeply, we are incredibly grateful for the many memories she gave us, the traditions she created, and the love she shared so freely. Her influence lives on in her children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Jayne was predeceased by her husband, Bill: her brothers, Rich and Bob: and her sister-in-law, Nancy Zalusky.

Left to celebrate Jayne’s life are her children; Karie (James) Clement, Heather (John) Scott, and James (Jennifer Tuuri) Saybolt. She’s further survived by her grandchildren: Anneke and Quinten Clement; McKenna, Lydia, and Regan Scott; and Faye and Lucinda Saybolt. In addition, she is survived by her sisters-in-law, Judy (Robert, deceased) Reinmiller, Marsha (Richard, deceased) Reinmiller, Betsy (Craig) Bixler; and many other family members in Pennsylvania.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 11, from 11am-1pm with a reflection at noon at:
