Janene Anne Mecca

Janene A Mecca was born to eternal life on August 22, 2023, at the age of 63. Janene is survived by her friend and ex-husband, Mathew M Mecca; a daughter, Gillian E Peters (nee Mecca), son-in-law, Jacob Peters, two grandchildren, Ryan and Bryce; a son, Jacob M Mecca-Guillien, daughter-in-law, Sydne Mecca-Guillien, and son, Kristopher J Mecca. Janene’s loving parents, James Phillip Whitesel and Ruth Ann Whitesel, were both pre-deceased. Janene is also survived by her brothers, Jay Whitesel and Jeff Whitesel.

Janene lived her life with a love for horses, riding with her Father, Phil, as a girl, and friends later in life. She had a passion for her children and grandchildren, never forgetting a thoughtful card, prayer, or gift for birthdays and holidays. Janene had a winning record in Catamaran Sailing/racing, loved camping with her family, gardening, and creative arts were important to her. Her friends and family know that she had her own schedule of time and commitments (we labeled it Neener time), but all know that she consistently followed through with thoughtfulness and a strong memory. She loved good barbeque and a cold beer with family and friends. She is deeply missed.

Celebration of life in honor of Janene Mecca will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, from 12-3pm, at the Eagle Town Park Pavilion, in Eagle, WI.
