James Allen Neumann

September 23, 1926 — January 28, 2018

James Allen Neumann 91, of East Troy, Wisconsin, died January 28th, 2018. Jim was born on September 23, 1926, the oldest son of Frank and Pauline (Hellor) Neumann in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he grew up and the family attended the Catholic Church. He spent his summers living with his grandfather helping him work on the farm and railroad in Winona, Wisconsin. He graduated from Milwaukee Boys' Technical High School and then immediately joined the Navy, training on an Aircraft Carrier. After WWII, he continued with some college courses and started working at Rexnord in the test lab. He loved to play baseball with his brother in multiple Milwaukee city leagues. Jim met Carol Mae Wolfmeyer through his best friend Bob Mienhardt. After dating a couple of years, they married on May 3, 1953 and settled in the East Troy, Wisconsin. They chose to live in the country on Lake Beulah so their new family could grow up enjoying outdoor activities. Jim and Carol lived most of there lives there. The family attended St. James Methodist Church, where they both served in many areas. Jim was a pump engineer at Waukesha Foundry heading up their research and development department. He retired after many years, but the company kept him on as a consultant traveling to give lectures on pumping fundamentals for several years before he completely retired. Jim loved humor, nature and many kinds of outdoor activities with family and friends, such as; swimming, water skiing, canoeing, flying kites, hiking and more. Most of all Jim and Carol loved to travel, they had many travel adventures with their family and later on with each other, both in the USA and internationally. His beloved wife, Carol Mae Neumann passed away July 29, 2009 after 56 years of marriage. He has missed her terribly so now, since they both believed in the Lord Jesus Christ they are enjoying adventures together again in heaven. Jim is survived by: His four children: Scott (Adrianne), Ross, Kim (Robin) and Jay (Carol); Eight grandchildren; Christen (Tom), Mark (Rachel), Jessica (James), Allen (Aaron), Amber, Justin (Christy), Katrina and Nicky; His eight great-grandchildren are: Ethan, Amelia, Alex, Alyssa, Leilani, Christian, Isaac and Colby; Jim's brothers: Glen (Pat), Gordon (Judi), Donald, sister Bonnie (Paul) and Brothers-in-law; Curt (Judy), Gary (Rita) and David (Marion). Also had many nieces, nephews and grand- nieces and nephews. Jim was a happy guy everyone enjoyed, he had many wonderful and caring friends throughout his life. A Celebration of Life for James Neumann will be held on August 4th, 2018. Memorial at 11:00 a.m and a picnic lunch at 1:00 p.m. Location for the gathering is at W2159 Beulah Heights Rd. East Troy, WI 53120.In case of inclement weather it will be at St. James United Methodist Church 2945 Main St. East Troy, WI 53120. Please RSVP to anshanks1981@gmail.com by June 30th.
