Weiland, Helen (nee Kloss) age 97 died at her home in Wauwatosa on March 4, 2022. Helen was born April 8, 1924, in Oconto County, Wisconsin. Helen was married to Joe Weiland in 1947 until his death in 1986. Also preceded in death by her brother Walter Kloss, parents Mike and Francis Kloss, stepfather Frank Olshefsky and Grandson, Travis Weiland.
Loving mother of Patricia (Robert) Huettl, Michael (Kay) Weiland, Jody (John) Gregory and Timothy Weiland. Also survived by five Grandchildren, Collin (Alicia) Weiland, Clay (Dana) Weiland, Austin (Josie) Weiland, Jason (Melissa) Gregory, and James Gregory. Great grandmother to eight, Travis Weiland, Jr., Lincoln and Malcolm Weiland, Kaylynn and Solomon Weiland, Elsa, Nora and Jenna Gregory. Further survived by a nephew, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Helen’s deep faith in Jesus was strong and she was a longtime member of Northtown Church.
During and after the war she worked at Wrigley’s, Allis Chalmers and Harley Davidson and once her family was grown, she worked at M&I Bank until she retired in 1985. Helen volunteered for years at the Badger Home for the Blind. She enjoyed antiques, loved her family, friends and found humor an important part of whatever came along. Helen greatly appreciated her good neighbors who helped her stay independent for many years.
Private services will be held in Oconto County later this summer. Helen loved all animals, in lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Wildlife in Need Center, W349 S1480 S. Waterville Road, Oconomowoc, WI 53066
