Harold V. Hinterberg of Waukesha, Wisconsin found peace at AngelsGrace Hospice on the morning of October 9, 2023, at the age of 73. Harold graduated from New Berlin High School in 1967. He played high school basketball and football, but baseball was his true passion. His baseball dreams ended abruptly when he threw out his pitching arm around age 19. He enjoyed quiet days on the lake fishing and also took up golfing later in life.
Harold is survived by his loving wife AnnMarie of 52 years, his daughter Nicole and son-in-law Steve Frasch, daughter Jodie and son-in-law Jon Marenfeld, grandsons Bradley and Nicklaus Frasch, sister Judi and brother-in-law Bob Brultz, sister Patti Staffeldt, brother Mike and sister-in-law Michelle Hinterberg, brother Patrick and sister-in-law Annie Hinterberg, and brother Larry and sister-in-law Carol Hinterberg. Harold is also survived by his brother-in-laws and sister-in-law, Mike Berka, Peter and Louann Berka, and Bea Jarumbo. He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Fay Hinterberg, grandparents Henry and Grace Hinterberg, grandparents Vanson and Fay Helen Barrett Miller, mother-in-law Eleanor Berka, brother-in-law John Staffeldt, and brother-in-law Al Jarumbo.
Harold completed an apprenticeship through Babcock and Wilcox and became an industrial journeyman steamfitter who worked for A.O. Smith, Tower Automotive, and Bechtel Construction Company. He also served 6 years in the National Guard. During his free time, Harold enjoyed coaching his daughters in softball and coached various boys baseball teams in Genesee. He was known as the neighborhood handyman always willing to lend a helping hand or share his knowledge
Visitation will be held at 9:00AM on Saturday, November 4 at St. Paul’s Parish in Genesee with Mass at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Stroke Association, American Diabetes Association, Angels Grace, or the Humane Society of Waukesha County (HAWS).
