Waukesha, WI – “Gary” also known as “Jerry” passed away on February 22, 2022 at the age of 84 at his home with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Lois Krenke (nee Palen) for 64 years. Father of Chris (Cindy) Krenke, Rick (Sherry) Krenke and Kelly Teschendorf (Don).
Grandfather of Derrick, Matthew, Cody, Sarah and Megan.
Great-Grand father of Collette, Ryleigh and Luna.
Preceded in death by his father, Francis, mother Gertrude (Larke), and sister Marlyce (James) Vickio.
Gary was in the Marine reserves for 4 years. He met his beautiful bride Lois, when he was 16. April 12, 1957 was the happiest day of his life when they were wed. They have been inseparable ever since. Both worked hard from the beginning, owning a dry cleaning business and custard stand while raising 3 children. Gary then worked in the construction field for 42 years, which; 20 of those years were spent teaching his son Rick the trades. He spent his free time raising and showing chickens and rabbits with his two sons while they were growing up. He loved gardening and going to the farmers market to sell his raspberries. He made the most delicious raspberry pie and would get many compliments on it. Summers were all about making hay and driving his Allis Chalmers tractors on the farm. Another passion of his was to watch the wildlife in his back yard. He always made sure the deer, turkeys, and birds had food, especially in the winter. In his later years he devoted most of his time to the church running the concession stand for BINGO.
Jerry was a person who loved to socialize. He could strike up a conversation with anyone. He leaves behind many friends and family whose lives he has touched.
Services will be held Friday, March 18th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, S89 W22650 Milwaukee Ave, Big Bend, WI 53103. Visitation will be at 10:00 am and mass at 11:00 am. A private burial will take place after the mass at St. Theresa’s in Eagle.
You will be missed by many.
Now you may rest in the presence of our Lord.
