In Loving Memory of Gayle Lynn LeSage
December 11, 1952 – October 24, 2026
Gayle Lynn LeSage, age 73, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering dedication to others, and the countless lives she touched throughout her life.
In 1971, Gayle married Donald LeSage, beginning a journey of marriage, family, and shared memories that spanned more than five decades. Together, they raised three children, Jamie (Andy), Erin (Andy), and Jacob (Janel), and were blessed with three beloved granddaughters, Jessica, Nicole, and Jenna, who brought so much joy to her life. She is also survived by her sister, Jacque (Steve), and brother, Kevin (Wendy), along with extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
For more than 20 years, Gayle devoted her career to teaching kindergarten in the East Troy School District. Teaching was far more than a profession to her; it was a calling. She loved being surrounded by children, watching them explore the world, listening to their laughter, and encouraging them as they discovered their own abilities. She understood that every child was unique and took the time to meet each little one where they were in their learning, establishing meaningful goals to help them grow and succeed.
Her passion for education and commitment to making a difference did not end with retirement. Gayle continued serving her community when she was elected to the Mukwonago School Board, where she remained dedicated to supporting students and strengthening educational opportunities for future generations.
Gayle’s generous spirit extended well beyond the classroom and her community. She was a lead volunteer for Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child, organizing the regional shoebox donation effort each year. Her dedication helped bring joy, hope, and Jesus’ love to children through this meaningful mission, reflecting her deep compassion and desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
Gayle was a true role model who led with passion and continuous purpose. She had an incredibly generous heart and a genuine kindness that made her one of the most caring people anyone could ever know. Whether teaching a young child, encouraging a friend, supporting a family member, or offering kindness to someone who crossed her path, Gayle had a remarkable way of making people feel valued and capable.
Gayle’s legacy is one of love, compassion, faith, and the belief that every person deserves encouragement and the opportunity to grow. She spent her life investing in others, whether through the children she taught, the community she served, the causes she championed, or the family she loved so dearly.
Though she will be deeply missed, the lessons she taught, the lives she shaped, and the love she shared will continue to live on in all those fortunate enough to have known her. Her legacy will carry forward through her children and grandchildren, the students who learned in her classroom, and the countless people she encouraged to believe in themselves and keep moving forward.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 8, 2026, at Waukesha Bible Church, S53 W24079 Glendale Rd., Waukesha, WI 53189. Visitation will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a service at 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child in Gayle’s honor, supporting the mission to bring hope, joy, and Jesus’ love to children around the world.
Gayle lived a life of purpose, led with love, and gave generously of herself. The world was better because she was in it, and her beautiful legacy will continue in every life she touched.
