Gary John Abbott passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2024, at the age of 85, at the Angels Grace hospice home in Oconomowoc, WI.
Gary had many occupations throughout his lifetime. Gary's occupations over the years have included being a nurse, owner of a flower shop, a gourmet chef, a property caretaker, and what he is most proud of, being a professional musician/piano teacher. Throughout all of Gary's occupations, his love of playing and teaching music, is how most will remember him. Gary taught countless students over his career and regularly played for weddings, parties, and events. Gary was also the organist for many years, until his retirement, at the Holy Hill Basilica in Hubertus, WI.
Gary touched many lives and was an uncle, friend, family, and mentor to many.
A service to celebrate Gary's life will be held on Monday, April 29th, 2024, at 1PM at the Holy Hill Basilica in Hubertus, followed by a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pro Health Angels Grace Hospice, in Oconomowoc, WI, in honor of Gary Abbott.
Gary’s extended family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at ProHealth Angels Grace Hospice for their compassionate care.
