Fredric August Jones

August 26, 1943 — March 25, 2024

Fredric A. Jones, aged 80, passed away on March 25, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Fred was born on August 26th in Beaver Dam, WI, where he spent his early years. He went on to attend high school at Nathan Hale in West Allis and later had a long career as a Tool & Die Maker at Snap-On Tools in Kenosha. He was an avid outdoorsman, with a lifelong love for hunting and fishing. Fred enjoyed his retirement “up north” watching the wildlife in his backyard. He also was a devoted sports fan, always watching the Packers and Brewers games.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn; his children: Cyndi (Cory) Bertelsen, Jim (Barb) Jones, Robert (Kelly) Jones, and his stepson, John Pabst. Further survived by his grandchildren: Courtney (Jason) Kilmer, Brody, Brianna, & Brooklyn Jones, Monika & Amanda Jones, and Kristina (Brian) Ney; and great grandchildren: Emmerie, Vivian, Cooper, Kinley, Colton, Waylon, Beaudon, Shay, Jaxsyn, Jordy, & Kyson. He was preceded in death by parents, Shirley & Helen Jones, and his sister, Janice Harris.

The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice and the Heberlings for the care and support which allowed him to spend his final days in home surrounded by his family at his side.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him. A private memorial gathering will be held for family and close friends on Monday, April 29 from 3-7 pm at the Boneyard Pub & Grille in Mukwonago. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s or the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin.
