Francis John McCormack (Frank), age 94, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, in memory care at the Courtyard at Sussex and under the additional care of St Croix Hospice.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Rogers); his daughter, Julie (Tuan) Pham; his son, Daniel (Athena Sinclair); and his daughter-in- law, Debbie (Terry). He is further survived by his grandchildren: Emily (Dan Kelly) Pham, Sarah Pham, Daniel Pham, and Madeline Pham; and his great grandchildren, Oliver and Gigi Kelly. He is further survived by his brothers: Jerome (JoAnne) McCormack, James (Carol) McCormack, and Michael (Janice) McCormack; sisters-in-law, Ann (Rogers) Paton (Greg) and Susan Rogers; and brothers-in-law, William Rogers and Mike Mervis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis X. and Christine McCormack; his son, Terry; and sisters, Patricia (Wayne) Wilber and Mary Ellen (Mike) Mervis.

Frank graduated from St. Michael's Grade School, Marquette High School, and Marquette University with a degree in journalism. He was honorably discharged from the US Army, where he served in the 7th Army Headquarters in Stuttgart, West Germany, during the post war period.

Frank spent his career in industrial advertising. After retirement, he was appointed Chief Deputy Clerk of Circuit Court of Milwaukee County, keeping the tradition of public service that his father and grandfather before him led the way as the elected Clerks of Circuit Court,  for a combined total of more than 40 years.

Frank was an avid sportsman who loved skiing, tennis, golf, and fishing. Most importantly, he was a lifelong reader and was passionate about political issues and understood the forces shaping public life.

The family will host a gathering at a later date. In honor of Frank's memory, donations are gratefully accepted for the Alzheimer's Association or the Capuchin Community Services Center (St. Benedict).
