Frances Marie Patti

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, Frances Marie Patti, who peacefully left us on January 5, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on February 17, 1934, in Milwaukee, Fran was known for her warm heart and love for cooking/baking. She loved baking cookies and bread, especially for her great-grandchildren. Her meals were never just about food; they were a way for her to share her love, her laughter, and her care. For her, cooking and baking were a language of love, and every dinner, loaf of bread, and plate of cookies she made was a testament to the warmth she brought into every room she entered.

Her family was her greatest pride, and she cherished the time spent around the dinner table, where stories were shared, and laughter filled the air. Her love was unconditional, and her wisdom was profound. She was always ready with advice, a comforting word, or a thoughtful gesture.

For over 40 years, Fran and her late husband Domenic were the proud owners of Mr. D’s Pizza, a local institution where generations of families gathered to share meals, laughter, and memories. Fran was more than a business owner; she was a friend and mentor to countless people, always offering a listening ear or a word of encouragement. Her restaurant was a place where people came not just for a meal, but for her genuine hospitality, her infectious laughter, and her ability to make everyone feel like family.

She was the loving matriarch of her family, survived by her children, Terri (Pete), Mike, Jo (Dennis), and Pauline. She is also survived by many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, with two more great grandchildren on the way. She leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and invaluable lessons that will continue to guide and inspire us.

Preceded in death by her husband, Domenic; brother-in-law, Mike; son-in-law, Mike; her parents, Salvatore and Josephine; and her siblings: Sadie, Cono, Mary, Sam, Joe, Carmen, and Tony.

A celebration of her life will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel on Monday, January 20, 2025. 7301 W Nash Street, Milwaukee 53216 Visitation will be held between 12pm-1:30pm. Upon your arrival, you will be directed to the designated chapel.   

Though she is no longer with us, her love will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Fran. You were deeply loved, and your memory will live on in all of us.
