Eleanore Recht

Eleanore Catherine Recht (Sis, Cathy) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on October 6th, 2024, at the age of 82 at her Pewaukee Lake home. Kathy was born June 9, 1942, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. 

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; her parents, LaMoyne and Mary Vieu; sisters, Carol and Sandy; and her son, Mark Moran. She is survived by her daughter, DeeDee; grandchildren, Garett (Meg) and Samantha (Derek) Hoppe; her two great grandchildren, Magnolia and Penelope Horter-Follo; and her brother, Jim Vieu (Dee). She is also survived by many friends that she considered family.

Her kindness and generosity for all throughout her life was the very thread of who she was. Her big-hearted nature, contagious smile, and infectious laugh touched the hearts of those around her. Her love of the lake and the many memories it brought made her who she was.

A Memorial Service to honor Kathy’s life will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, November 1st, 2024, at the Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield (13235 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53005).
