Douglas Whitesell Mielenz

October 18, 1932 — January 1, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our much loved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Douglas Whitesell Mielenz, age 90, which occurred January 1, 2023.

Doug is survived by his wife of 70 years, Virginia; much loved children: Beth (Daniel) McIntire, Lori (David) Krause and Mark; grandchildren, Joel (Angela) Behnke, Amanda (Andy) Szatkowski, Mathew Mielenz, and Kaitlyn (Nick) Thielke; and great grandchildren: Noah, Isabelle, Wyatt, and Laikyn.

After 40 years of service, Doug retired from AC Spark Plug/ACDelco. In his retirement, Doug and Ginny traveled and spent their summers at the family home on Madeline Island, where he enjoyed boating and his family.
