Donna Rae Litzow

February 8, 1935 — February 7, 2025

On February 7, 2025, Donna passed away after a life well lived. Born on February 8, 1935, to Michael and Marguerite Sanks. She is survived by her five daughters: Deborah (Mark) Buschman, Cynthia Moreton, Jane Jordan, Diane (Mark) Schlagenhaft, and Betsy Martell; grandchildren: Zachary, Luke, Jacob (Hali) and Joseph Buschman, Holly, Hannah, and Kacey Ann Jordan, Claire Schlagenhaft, and Adam (Sarah), Eric, Ella, and Sonja Martell; her brother, Joseph Sanks; and nieces and nephews.

Donna was the life of the party. She was a teacher, painter, mom, nana, sister, decorator, Auntie Donna, friend, and lover of kids. It could be said that she was also a kid at heart. Like the Toby Keith song "Don’t Let The Old Man In" - there is a line that says “Ask yourself how old you would be if you didn’t know the day you were born.” Donna would have put herself somewhere under 30 years old or maybe even younger. Fondly referred to as "Donna Let's-Go", she was always up for anything. Her energy and love for life will shine forever in those who loved her. She’s in heaven organizing a party with all her friends and family that went before her and they’re playing her favorite song, Bob Seger’s "Old Time Rock & Roll."

There will be no funeral service as per Donna’s wishes, but there will be a party to be determined later in the year for family and friends. If you would like to make a donation to the charity of your choice in Donna’s name, that would be appreciated, or you can donate to HAWS-The Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County.
